The largest of the three cities, with a growing population around 70,000, the city of Kennewick offers a thriving economy, excellent school system, and affordable housing. The city is a retail hub for Southeastern Washington, and benefits from a talented labor pool, steady job market and low cost of living.

Every summer the Water Follies hydroplane racing takes place on the Columbia River in Columbia Park, and the Benton-Franklin County Fair is held at the fairgrounds in Kennewick.
